Today's installment of "Which celebrity's house is this?" involves the 2,948-square-foot house at 28936 Grayfox Street in Malibu, Calif., which just came on the market for $7,150,000.

The reason that we believe that this house has been owned by a celebrity is because the public records databases that we have access to show that its owner is something called the Kokal Trust. And the money manager's name on that trust is that of Bo Gardner, who is based at thesame office in Santa Monica (Provident Financial Management, which ispart of RSM International) that represents many other celebrities,including Olivia Newton-John, Don Felder, Ted Danson and MarySteenburgen. In fact, in June 2008, we wrote about a different deed that Gardner's name was on -- that of the "I Love You Trust," which some months back purchased actress Ronnie Claire Edwards' house in Los Angeles' Los Feliz area. Just two days later, our friends over at the Real Estalker helpfully sussed out the fact that the buyer of Edwards' house -- and ergo, the entity behind the I Love You Trust -- was rocker Michael "Flea" Balzary of the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

We put "is/was" in the headline to this post, because there's some fuzziness over whether the Kokal Trust still owns the house at 28936 Grayfox. The public records databases that we have access to do not show that the Kokal Trust has sold the house, but the good people over at Blockshopper report that the house at 28936 Grayfox sold in January 2008 for $6,825,000 to a couple with little to no celebrity appeal. Either way, we're intrigued by this property -- and we're interested to know who has been behind the Kokal Trust (which also owns a 2,033-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Woodland Hills area).

In addition, the house at 28936 Grayfox has prior celebrity cachet; the Kokal Trust paid $5,185,000 in October 2005 to purchase this house from the husband-and-wife acting team of Simon Baker and Rebecca Rigg, who themselves had purchased it in late 2001 for $1,650,000. As has often been noted in the past, celebrities often buy their homes from other celebrities. (Baker and Rigg, in addition, were later identified by our readers as having sold this house at 534 20th Street in Santa Monica late last year.)

Built in 1957, the 1.023-acre property's main house is a ranch-style house with three bedrooms, according to public records and listing information. There are two separate guest structures on the property at 28936 Grayfox, which has beach rights, expansive patios, lush gardens and a private pool, according to listing information. The property also is available for lease for $14,000 a month. The house came on the market on October 9. Neighbors of the house on Grayfox include Julia Roberts, plus the whole slew of other celebs living on Point Dume who were listed in detailed fashion by the Real Estalker in her comprehensive write-up last month on movie producer Robert Chartoff's $8,750,000 listing of his own property on Grayfox.
