Vince Vaughn is trying to rent a four-bedroom town house that he owns in River North for $9,500 a month, according to listing information.

The actor, who turns 39 on Mar. 28, is attempting to lease a 4,063-square-foot town house that he purchased in 2005 in the City Club development, according to public records. Vaughn's principal Chicago residence is his 7,800-square-foot duplex penthouse on the 36th and 37th floors of the Palmolive building, which his VAV 2005 Trust bought in September 2006 for $12 million, according to public records.

Over in River North, Vaughn paid $1.4 million in August 2005 to buy the City Club town house, according to public records. Built in 2002, the town house is being offered furnished, and it has hardwood floors throughout and an attached three-car garage. Features include crown moldings, marble baths, a custom home theater room that seats seven, an eat-in kitchen with a flat-screen TV, a SubZero refrigerator, granite countertops, 42-inch cabinets, a 48-inch Viking range, a double oven and a Bosch dishwasher, according to listing information. The town house's master suite has walk-in closets and an upgraded granite bathroom with a Jacuzzi and steam shower. Outside is a rooftop deck with city views.

Listing agent Liane Pruchnik declined to comment on Vaughn's listing, telling RedEye "I'm not at liberty to say who my clients are."

The 7.5-acre Lake Forest estate that actor Mr. T once owned -- and where he famously sawed down more than 100 trees, claiming they aggravated his allergies -- has gone under contract after being on the market for $7.5 million, according to listing information. The property had been available since it first was listed in 2004 for $10.5 million.

In 2003, two developers paid $3.8 million to buy the 10,000-square-foot mansion, known as "Two Gables," and the surrounding acreage and set about expanding and renovating the mansion, which was built in 1910. Now measuring 15,000 square feet, the 24-room mansion has nine bedrooms, nine full baths, two half baths and a pool, according to listing information.
