Scottish actress Ashley Jensen, who has now started to become known to American audiences by playing America "Ugly Betty" Ferrera's only true ally on ABC's popular dramedy "Ugly Betty," and her husband have paid $1,650,000 for a three-bedroom, mid-century house in the Oaks area of Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood, according to public records.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Jensen's purchase, which closed last month and was recorded on May 16, according to public records.
Built in 1964 and first listed for $1,700,000, Jensen's house measures 2,404 square feet and sits on its own promontory point with 'dramatic airplane power views,' according to public records and listing information. Features in the two-story, custom house include two baths, high open beamed ceilings, and additional parking for four cars plus a 30-foot recreational vehicle, according to listing information.
Jensen's new house is located on almost a half-acre of land in a gated neighborhood that long has been popular with celebrities. Brad Pitt long has owned a compound on the same block, and actor Vince Vaughn's Midwest Trust in 2005 sold his house about a block or so away, at 5672 Valley Oak Drive, for $4,050,000 to 'Star Trek' writer Rene Echevarria, according to public records. In addition, Cassandra 'Elvira' Pierson in late 2005 sold her house about a block or so away, at 5800 Valley Oak Drive, for $2,750,000, according to public records.
