Playwright, actor, director and filmmaker Tyler Perry is selling his two-bedroom, contemporary-style house on the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, Calif. for $5,350,000. Perry, 37, purchased the 2,517-square-foot house at 20140 Pacific Coast Highway for $3,375,000 in 2005 through his Baronne Trust, according to public records. Now, however, he has listed the house, the Los Angeles Times is reporting today, because the Atlanta-based Perry doesn't get the chance to use it often. Features in the tri-level house include an open floor plan, two and a half baths, walls of sliding glass doors throughout, a den or third bedroom, expansive patios, custom finishes, a covered and oversized one-car garage plus three additional parking spaces, custom window treatments, and a state-of-the-art security system, according to listing information. The house also has 61 feet of beach frontage. Check out the house's listing sheet here and here. We'll be the first to admit that the Times' piece on Perry's listing is hardly a scoop, however. The good people at Curbed LA wrote about this house being on the market, back on March 14.
