Actors Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon, who have been in a relationship since 1988, reportedly have signedreportedly have signed a contract to purchase a more than 2,000-square-foot unit that is listed at $3,500,000 at One Madison Park, a building in Manhattan that is expected to be completed in late 2008.

The New York Post’s fine celebrity real estate columnist Braden Keil today broke the story that the left-leaning couple will buy in the same building where Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts also have been reported to be buying. We wrote about Watts and Schreiber’s rumored purchase back on July 13. Keil today provided a nice update, noting that Schreiber and Watts have signed a contract to pay around $6.5 million for a four-bedroom, 3,300-square-foot, full-floor apartment.

The 60-story One Madison Park condo building, which will be at 23 E. 22nd Street in Manhattan, will have about 72 units (no more than two residences are planned per floor), interior gardens, a 50-foot pool overlooking the park, a screening room, a concierge, a spa and fitness club and a wine vault with a sommelier, Keil reported.

Where have Robbins and Sarandon lived previously? Records show that they long have owned a co-op unit in the La Fabrique building at 147 W. 15th Street in Manhattan’s Chelsea area, and they also own a 5,076-square-foot house on 7.74 acres on Honey Hollow Road in Pound Ridge, N.Y., in Westchester County.
