Sting has placed his four-bedroom duplex in the Brentmore building on Manhattan's Central Park West back on the market for $19,000,000, just a week or so after it appeared to have been listed for $26,000,000.

The New York Times' Josh Barbanel has been all over this story lately, reporting first in mid-February that Sting had listed the 6,600-square-foot duplex for $26,000,000, and then reporting on Sunday that the listing now appears to be in the hands of a different broker, at the much lower price.

Located at 88 Central Park West, Sting's 14-room, second-floor/third-floor duplex once was owned by fellow late 50something rocker Billy Joel. Sting (shown here with singer Nicole Scherzinger) has the duplex on the market because he and wife Trudie Styler purchased another, five-bedroom, approximately 5,000-square-foot duplex at 15 Central Park West last year for $26,500,000, according to public records. He previously had listed the Brentmore duplex in 2006-2007 for $24 million.
