Singer Michelle Branch has placed her four-bedroom house in the Belle Meade area of Nashville on the market for $1,285,000 -- less than a year after she purchased it for $1,350,000.

Our friends over at the Real Estalker broke the story the other day of Branch's surprise listing of her house in Nashville. Indeed, the house appears to have hit the market a couple of days ago.

Built in 2003, Branch's cottage-style house -- which is just a short distance down the road from the Belle Meade home of former Vice President Al Gore -- has four and a half baths and an all-Viking kitchen, according to listing information. The house measures either 3,200 square feet, according to public records, or 3,706 square feet, according to listing information. The house sits on a 0.43-acre (18,731-square-foot) lot, according to public records.

Records show that Branch's Sunshine Trust purchased the house on January 9, with the deal being recorded on January 10. Back on June 10, we wrote about her purchase -- and about some of her other properties over the years. Following up on similar remarks made by the Real Estalker, the only other property that we're certain that Branch still owns is her 1,360-square-foot condominium unit in Nashville, which she purchased in mid-2006 for $290,000, according to public records.

It's totally unclear to us where Branch is going, although southern California would seem to be a safe bet. As always, we'll keep you posted.
