Singer Melanie Brown, who was known as both "Scary Spice" and "Mel B" in the Spice Girls (and who later became known as one of Eddie Murphy's baby mamas), has listed her four-bedroom house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills for $2,999,999.
Our friends over at the Real Estalker scored a great scoop on this listing on Wednesday, March 25. And this is a house that we had exclusively written about back on March 4, 2008, when we broke the story that Brown had quietly purchased it for exactly $3,000,000 in August 2007.
Built in 1967, the 3,476-square-foot house apparently has undergone a $1 million-plus renovation by Brown, meaning that she stands to lose a pretty penny on this house. Features in the house include four baths, art walls, a gourmet kitchen, and an open floor plan, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.41-acre (17,847-square-foot) lot include lush landscaping, an eight-camera security system with night vision, a saline pool, a spa, three waterfalls, an outdoor living room with a flat-screen TV and an outdoor kitchen, and sweeping city and ocean views, according to public records and listing information.
We have no clue why Brown has placed this house up on the market (we hope it's not -- and we highly doubt that it's -- money troubles). If the place sells (and, when we find out where she's going), we'll of course publish that here.
