Singer Lance Bass finally has sold his house in the Beverly Hills, Calif. postal area for $3,850,000.
As we continue to clean old items out of our cupboard (and man, is this an old item!), we wanted to circle back and spend some time on Lance before saying goodbye to him until his next listing or sale.
Recall that back in November, we wrote about Bass re-listing his longtime house in the BH PO on November 4 for $3,925,000. It was at least the third time that Bass had had the house on the market over the years, first in 2005 and then again in 2006 (both times at much higher price points — $4,900,000 and $5,250,000).
Now, as many other celebrity real estate snoops (but not us) have noted, records show that on February 26, Bass (shown here clowning around with Kathy Griffin) finally closed on the house, with the deal being recorded on March 3. The buyer, Manuela Herzer, is known most, as our friends over at the Real Estalker noted in their scoop on Bass' sale, for having been a onetime paramour of mogul Sumner Redstone.
Built in 1942, Bass' former BH PO property's two-story main house has five baths, an open floor plan, a chef’s kitchen, and three fireplaces, according to public records and listing information. The house measures 3,811 square feet, according to public records, or 4,877 square feet (which may include the guesthouse), according to past listing information. Outdoor features include a pool, a large deck, a separate gym facility with a spa-like bathroom, and a guesthouse with a fireplace, a kitchen, a bed/bath and a second pool, according to listing information.
Records show that Bass paid $3,880,000 in 2003 to purchase the property, which lies right next to the infamous, celebrity-filled neighborhood The Summit. Obviously, Bass took a real bath on this house; we can only assume that he had wanted to be rid of it in a bad, bad way.
Where is Bass living now? In addition to the Real Estalker's comment that Bass had been living in New York City of late (especially in 2007 and 2008), public records show the ex-boybander owning several other properties:
--A recently renovated, 2,964-square-foot (or 2,654-square-foot, depending on whether one believes public records or listing information) house in Nashville Tenn., which Bass purchased in January 2007 for an unclear amount;
--A 5,119-square-foot house in Brandon, Miss., which he also purchased for an unclear amount;
--A vacant lot in Brandon, Miss
