Public records have cleared on actress Scarlett Johansson's purchase of a 4,532-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills, and they reveal that the starlet paid exactly $7,000,000 for the house, and not the $8,000,000 number that was widely reported (including by Big Time Listings) when the news first broke last week by Us magazine.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the exact amount that Johansson paid on April 27 through her Tupelo Honey Trust for the house and its 0.73-acre lot. The purchase first was mentioned in the current issue of Us magazine, and we wrote our own item on the purchase back on Jul. 23, shortly after our friends over at the Real Estalker provided their take on the purchase. Our item on July 23 also contained a list of other properties that Johansson has been associated with.
We're not based in Los Angeles nor on the West Coast, so as we produce this item at 2:18PM on a Saturday afternoon, we haven't yet seen tomorrow's Los Angeles Times' 'Hot Property' column (which at this moment is not available yet online but is available at L.A.-area newsstands and supermarkets), which may or may not end up writing in Sunday's paper about Scarlett's purchase (but probably won't).
