Retired tennis star Martina Navratilova has placed a one-story, waterfront house that she owns in Englewood, Fla. -- near Sarasota -- on the market for $1,750,000.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Navratilova's listing of the property, which has 150 feet of frontage on the Gulf of Mexico. Records show that she paid $2,200,000 through her NM Two Real Estate Trust for the property in May 2006.

Since that time, Navratilova has made some renovations to the house, including a new roof, all-new windows and doors, and new exterior stucco and paint.

Built in 1950, the six-room house measures either 3,078 square feet (according to public records and listing information) or 1,942 square feet (which is an "adjusted" amount in public records). Features include three bedrooms and two baths, according to public records. The house sits on a 0.77-acre (33,593-square-foot) lot, according to public records.

We have no idea why Navratilova is listing this parcel. If we learn more, we'll of course provide that information here.

Navratilova also owns several other properties, all with her partner Antoinette Layton, according to public records:

--A 5,655-square-foot house in Nokomis, Fla. on a 0.78-acre (34,064-square-foot) lot on the Casey Key barrier island;

--And two separate parcels on County Road 103 in Carbondale, Col. (a 53-acre tract with a 4,918-square-foot house on it and a seven-acre parcel with a 4,328-square-foot house on it)
