Public records have cleared on actress Courteney Cox’s mansion on the Pacific Ocean in Malibu, Calif., which had been listed for $33.5 million, and they show definitively that Los Angeles Dodgers owners Frank and Jamie McCourt did indeed purchase the architecturally significant property.

As always, kudos to the Real Estalker for first reporting on the transaction, which subsequently also was reported by the Los Angeles Times’ Ruth Ryon and then, by us as well.

Public records show only Jamie McCourt’s name on the deed. The sale closed on July 13 and was recorded with Los Angeles County on July 31, according to public records. The two parties in the transaction obscured the sale price, so we won’t be able to post that for a few more weeks still. Stay tuned, though; as we had predicted on August 4, we suspect that records will reveal that the house closed for a whole lot less than the $33.5 million asking price, despite the Times’ report that the sale was for “close to” that asking price.
