Singer Pat Benatar and her guitarist husband, Neil Giraldo, have paid $1,675,000 to buy 9.83 acres in Malibu, Calif., according to public records.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report that Benatar, 54, and Giraldo purchased the land at 11340 Pacific View Drive, which is in Ventura County and has views of the Pacific Ocean and city lights. The land currently contains a two-bedroom cabin with two baths, along with a detached guest house and corral, according to listing information. However, the property, which had been listed for $1,800,000, also comes with plans for a 3,400-square-foot Mediterranean-style house with a pool that were submitted to Ventura County officials, according to listing information. It’s unclear whether those building plans have been actually approved by the county, although that likely is a formality.

Benatar and Giraldo are no strangers to Malibu, having owned at least two other properties there over the years. In 2003, they sold their 3,330-square-foot, oceanfront house on a blufftop at 29060 Cliffside Drive for $4.5 million, which they had bought in 1997 for an undisclosed price. That house, which is on close to an acre, also has a spa and stairs leading to a sandy beach. Also, in 1999, the couple sold their longtime, 5,497-square-foot house on 7.32 acres at 5721 Bonsall Drive for exactly $3 million.
