Singer Marie Osmond has listed her six-bedroom home in Orem, Utah for $1,200,000. Currently in the midst of a divorce from her second husband, Osmond, 47, has put the home at 49 N. 920 East in Orem, which is 45 miles south of Salt Lake City, up for sale. Built in 1995, the two-story brick house has been the place of some sad events in Osmond's life, including a 2005 fire that caused a reported $50,000 worth of damage to the home. A reported suicide attempt by Osmond in 2006 also took place in the home, but we should be very quick to note that that was merely a (widely published) report--and, that Osmond's publicity people have continually denied that the entertainer had tried to kill herself. Features in the totally remodeled home include four and a half baths, one fireplace, a formal dining room, central air, a jetted tub, an alarm system and a three-car garage, according to listing information. The house's size is up for debate. Listing information states that Osmond's house measures 9,169 square feet, while public records state that the house contains 6,668 square feet. The house sits on a 0.35-acre parcel, according to public records. 'The house holds too many memories--both good and bad--for Marie,' a friend of hers told the National Enquirer in the Aug. 27 issue, which reported on Osmond's listing. A piece about the listing also appeared on ContactMusic on August 16. Listing information explicitly identifies the house as being Osmond's as a vehicle to help market the home.
