Singer LeAnn Rimes has placed her newly built, 13,380-square-foot mansion in Franklin, Tenn. on the market for $7,450,000.

As we continue to dig out and write about items that others have written about -- but not us -- we wanted to pen a few words on Rimes' five-bedroom mansion in Franklin, which sits on 5.22 acres. This is at least the third piece of real estate that Rimes, 26, has owned over the years.

First, let's talk about the 23-room mansion in Franklin that she just has placed on the market. Kudos to our friends over at the Real Estalker for breaking the story a month ago (yeah, we know -- we're a little behind schedule) of Rimes' listing, which comes on the heels of all kinds of reports, videos and general evidence of marital strife between Rimes and husband Dean Sheremet.

Now, Rimes and Sheremet have hoisted the two-and-a-half-story, traditional-style mansion, which is in the guard-gated Avalon neighborhood, onto the market. Features in the mansion include six full baths, three half baths, a second kitchen, a media room, custom woodworking, five-plank hand-distressed wood floors, custom master closets and guest quarters, according to listing information. Outdoor features include a saltwater pool, according to listing information.

Rimes built the house last year, and moved in after she sold her house at 5909 Hillsboro Pike in nearby Nashville to a pro wrestling promoter (and no, you haven't heard of this pro wrestling promoter) for $2,125,000 on October 30 (deal recorded on November 3), according to public records. The Hillsboro Pike house had been on the market for $2,400,000 earlier in 2008.

Rimes also at one time had owned a 3,358-square-foot house at 3001 Roscomare Road in Los Angeles' Bel-Air area, which she purchased in 2000 for just under $2 million (according to news accounts at the time) and sold in the summer 2003 for $2,385,000, according to public records.

We'll keep you posted on if Rimes' Franklin mansion sells, although our guess is that it's going to sit on the market for quite some time. Stay tuned.
