Actress, fashion designer and retired model Kimora Lee Simmons has dropped the asking price of her 5,923-square-foot house in the Beverly Hills, Calif. postal area -- also known as the Beverly Hills Post Office or the BH PO -- to $6,900,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Simmons' price reduction, which just hit the market yesterday. Back on June 9, 2008, we wrote about Simmons' listing of the country-style house, which first had hit the market for $7,750,000.

In June 2007, Simmons (shown here with boyfriend -- and, it appears, the father of the child she is expecting -- Djimon Hounsou) paid the $5,900,000 asking price, according to public records, to buy the seven-bedroom BH PO house, which is next door to Jessica Simpson's house and just around the corner from Nicole Kidman's subsequently purchased house.
Built in 1974, Simmons' house has eight baths, a gated courtyard entry with a sitting area and a fireplace, a two-story entryway, a formal living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room with a wet bar, a media/family room a brand-new gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances opening to a breakfast room, dark hardwood floors, a large master bedroom, French doors, leaded glass windows, and wainscoting, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the house's 0.59-acre (25,899-square-foot) lot include a swimming pool and a large grassy yard, with room for a tennis court.
Curiously, Simmons, 33, removed the tennis court that previously had sat on the property (compare our photos above with the photos when we wrote in August 2007 about her purchase of it), even though her listing information plays up the property's potential for a tennis court.
