In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the listing of the house in Beverly Hills' Trousdale Estates area, which came on the market on September 19. Perry paid $2,925,000 to purchase the house in mid-1999, and he owned it until late 2005, when he sold it for $6,100,000, according to public records.

Built in 1973, the house measures either 8,036 square feet, according to listing information, or 6,910 square feet, according to public records. Either way, the house is described in listing information as being "Lautner-esque" (after architect John Lautner), and was described many years ago by the Los Angeles Times' Ruth Ryon as having an "almost industrial" look.

Features in the rock, glass and steel house include a Poliform kitchen, a family room, a two-story high living room, a master suite with a Poliform closet, and a 14-person, tiered screening room, according to listing information. We know that public records state that one parcel has a 6,910-square-foot house on it while the other has a 6,581-square-foot house on it; despite that description in public records, we have been told by those who know that there is just one house on the two parcels). The 0.44-acre property (an 11,208-square-foot parcel and a 7,976-square-foot parcel) sits at the end of a cul-de-sac and has city-to-ocean views, an infinity pool and a spa, according to public records and listing information.

The house's current owner is a bit of a mystery. It's owned in a trust, with the money manager whose name is on the deed, Dean Avedon, being a fellow who has represented celebrities in the past. Any readers who have any ideas about who the actual current owner is?
