Pro golfer Corey Pavin has paid $3,000,000 to buy a 2,908-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Brentwood area.

The Los Angeles Times' Ruth Ryon broke the story this morning of Pavin's purchase of the house at 2420 Mandeville Canyon Road. Records show that that Pavin purchased the house, which was built in 1961, on September 28. The deal was recorded on October 30.

The recently renovated, gated house has three bedrooms and four baths, according to listing information. Other features include a water feature beckoning visitors to rear and private gardens, and a gourmet kitchen, according to listing information. The house had been on the market for $2,995,000 and sits on a 0.62-acre parcel, according to public records.

Ryon reported that Pavin, 48, also owns homes in Dallas and San Diego. Records actually show that he owns a bevy of properties in both of those metropolitan areas, including in Cardiff by the Sea, Calif. and Plano, Tex.
