Yesterday the New York Post's fine celebrity real estate columnist Braden Keil broke the news that the late Tony Randall's sumptuous co-op unit in the Beresford building on Central Park in Manhattan has just gone to contract, after having been listed by his widow for $17,500,000.

The 10-room apartment was listed by Randall's much younger, thirtysomething widow, Heather Randall. Located on the sixth floor of the exclusive Beresford building, at 211 Central Park West, the unit has four and a half baths. Other features include a private elevator landing, high ceilings, a fireplace and "entertainment rooms of grand proportions," according to the listing.

We wrote about Randall's unit back on May 11. Keil now has given us the perfect excuse to write about it again. Take a look at the photos and enjoy.

We'll of course keep you posted on when the unit closes -- and of course the amount for which it closes.
