Built in 1938, Peterson's new house had been listed for $1,599,000, meaning that there likely was a bidding war for the house. Features in the house, at 2347 Moreno Drive, include three baths, a media room with a fireplace, a flat-screen TV and surround sound, a den, French doors, a gated entryway, a contemporary kitchen, and a private living room, according to listing information. Outside are a matching pool and spa, according to listing information.

Peterson previously had owned a 3,756-square-foot house at 5800 Valley Oak Drive, which historically has been a celebrity-intensive street in the Oaks neighborhood of Los Angeles' Los Feliz neighborhood. As we previously had noted on May 31, Peterson sold that house in late 2005 for $2,750,000, according to public records. That house had experienced significant flooding--including its basement being under a foot of water--in February 2005. Elvira also famously sold an adjacent, 5,338-square-foot house in the same neighborhood--at 5769 Briarcliff Road--to actor Brad Pitt in 1994 for $1.7 million, according to public records. Pitt continues to own that house to this day.
