Last last night, the good people at TMZ.com reported that Dr. Phil McGraw has placed his Beverly Hills, Calif. mansion on the market for $18,000,000 in a pocket listing, which keeps it out of the multiple listing service.  Because the listing is not in the multiple listing service, we have absolutely, positively no way to corroborate TMZ’s report, although we also have no reason to doubt it. However we should note that our good friends over at the Real Estalker exclusively reported on this same rumor back in April, hearing at that time that McGraw would entertain offers in the $16 million - $18 million dollar range. We have written many times in the past about the seven-bedroom, 11,036-square-foot mansion, which is at 1008 Lexington Road in Beverly Hills. McGraw purchased the mansion in late 2002 through his Peteski Productions company for about $7.5 million in cash. He later transferred the property’s ownership into his legal name. TMZ noted that the mansion has eight baths, two fireplaces, limestone floors, a cement pond and a guest house. We can also note that the house sits on a nearly 0.72-acre (31,359-square-foot) lot and that it was built in 2001, according to public records. It’s unclear where McGraw may be moving. We’ll keep you posted. We’ve also written many times about other Los Angeles-area properties that McGraw has owned, most recently on April 1, when we broke the story that McGraw had paid $2,560,000 for a 2,356-square-foot contemporary-style house in the Hollywood Hills. Update: Our initial version of this post did not give props to the Real Estalker for having broken this story in April. That was a gross oversight on our part and we apologize to Your Mama.
