Three 6 Mafia’s DJ Paul, also known as Paul Beauregard, has paid $1,950,000 to buy a 4,404-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Tarzana area from Emmy Award-winning soap opera actor Kristoff St. John.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase of the house at 5073 Topeka Drive, which took place on Jan. 23 but wasn’t recorded until Feb. 21. The transaction is the latest San Fernando Valley real estate deal involving the Academy Award-winning Memphis rap group Three 6 Mafia, since, as we reported on Feb. 26, the group’s Juicy J paid exactly $2 million in December to purchase a six-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Sherman Oaks area.
Now, DJ Paul, who is about 30, has bought the five-bedroom house in Tarzana from the longtime “Young and the Restless” star. Built in 2004, the house that DJ Paul purchased has six baths and sits on a 0.34-acre lot, according to public records. St. John, who bought the house under the name Christoff St. John, paid $1,730,000 in mid-2005 for the house, according to public records.
And since selling the Tarzana house to DJ Paul, St. John paid $685,000 on Jan. 30 to purchase a 2,574-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ West Hills area, according to public records.
As for DJ Paul, prior to buying the house in Tarzana, he and his bandmates had lived in what the Los Angeles Times’ Ruth Ryon reported in September was a gated 8,000-square-foot, six-bedroom rental house in Hollywood, with three fireplaces, a wet bar, walls of glass, an infinity pool and a spa with city views. DJ Paul’s purchase deed for the Tarzana address listed a prior address of 14465 Mulholland Drive in Los Angeles’ Bel-Air area, and although the exact address of 14465 Mulholland doesn’t show up in Los Angeles County public records, we were able to find a cached listing sheet of a house with that address, which we assume is the house that Ryon was referring to. We’d question whether Bel-Air is truly “Hollywood,” but the other details (up for lease, 8100 square feet, six bedrooms, $3,500,000 listing price, infinity pool), all seem right.
Public records don’t yet show whether the third member of Three 6 Mafia, Cedric Coleman, has purchased anything yet in the L.A. area.
