Robert DeNiro’s wife, Grace Hightower, has paid $3.44 million for a limestone town house on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, even as she and her husband just paid $20.9 million for a 15-room, Central Park West apartment, just last month, reports the New York Observer (Observer).
Hightower bought the town house, which she plans to gut and renovate, from Averil Logan and her actress daughter, Bellina Logan. It’s unclear if the town house is just an investment project for Hightower, who also owns a unit in Manhattan’s Trump Palace. Her principal residence is the Central Park West unit, which is in a building where “Saturday Night Live” honcho Lorne Michaels has owned an apartment, and which the couple bought from Eve Weinstein, the ex-wife of movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.
Also in New York real estate news, the Observer reports that New York Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist has paid $1.75 million to buy an Upper West Side condo, where he’ll live just two floors underneath Rangers defenseman Brian Leetch. The paper noted that many past and present Rangers reside on Manhattan’s Upper West Side. Finally, the chairman of furniture-maker Knoll has paid $9 million for a Fifth Avenue apartment.
