TV host and onetime MTV VJ Daisy Fuentes has sold her four-bedroom, contemporary Mediterranean-style villa in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills for $2.165 million—a house that she no longer needs because almost a year and a half ago she quietly paid $4.5 million for a slightly larger house in the same area.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report that Fuentes’ Astral Drive Trust sold the house, which she had owned since 2001. Fuentes, 40, bought the house at 2675 Astral Drive in 2001 for $1.225 million. Built in 1999-2000, the house is located on a private knoll and on a 1.66-acre parcel, and has soaring ceilings, an open floor plan, a two-story living room, and city and canyon views, according to listing information. Other features include three baths, a cook’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and a master suite with a spa tub and a walk-in closet. The precise size of the house is very much up for debate. Public records report that the house measures 4,014 square feet. However, some listing information called the house “more than 4,300 square feet,” while other listing information—including information picked up by People magazine in its August 2005 reporting of the listing—reported that the house is 4,408 square feet. In any case, Fuentes first listed the house in the summer of 2005 for a whopping $3.5 million, People magazine reported. At the time that she listed the house, her representatives told the magazine that she was set to move to a “bigger house.” The house later was reduced to $2,295,000, and it finally sold recently.
As for Daisy’s new digs, her Astral Drive Trust quietly paid $4.5 million in September 2005 to buy a three-bedroom, 4,530-square-foot house at 7728 Woodrow Wilson Drive, also in the Hollywood Hills, according to public records. That house, which was built in 1997, sits on a 1.02-acre parcel, according to public records, and also has three baths and a pool.
