Contemporary R&B/jazz singer Lalah Hathaway has sold her two-bedroom, 1,392-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Mid-Wilshire area for $848,000 to yoga instructor and model Rainbeau Harmony Mars.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Hathaway’s sale of the house on Ogden Drive in Culver City. Hathaway, 38, paid $760,000 in August 2005 for the house, which is in the Mid-Wilshire area and basically in an area where Beverly Hills and Culver City come together.

Built in 1933, the Spanish-style house that Hathaway sold has plantation shutters, hardwood floors, and a kitchen with an onyx stone wall, granite countertops and an eat-at breakfast bar, according to listing information. Other features include a bonus room off a tropical garden with trickling water fountains, and a master bath with a deep soaking tub, a Garnet rock wall and a bidet, according to listing information.

Mars purchased the house through her 333 Trust and through the name of her money manager, Bruce Weber, according to public records.

Records show that Hathaway, who is the daughter of the late soul musician Donny Hathaway, paid $716,500 in February to buy a 1,838-square-foot house in Inglewood, Calif.
