Stand-up comedienne, writer and producer Carol Leifer has listed a house on a gated drive in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills for $2,050,000.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the listing, which is the latest step in a multi-year real-estate odyssey for Leifer, who has owned no fewer than four different L.A.-area houses over the last few years.

Built in 1956 and located at 2960 Briar Knoll Drive, the three-bedroom, 2,871-square-foot house that Leifer is selling is her longtime house in the Hollywood Hills. She purchased it for $875,000 in 1998 through her Briar Knoll Trust, according to public records.

Leifer is selling the house because a little over a year ago, she and her partner, Lori Wolf, paid $2,827,500--and not the 'close to $3.2 million' that the Los Angeles Times' Ruth Ryon had reported at the time--for the five-bedroom, 4,125-square-foot traditional-style house at 3101 Fryman Road in Los Angeles' Studio City area, according to public records. At the time that Leifer purchased the house in Studio City, she was reported by Ryon to have decided to rent out the house at 2960 Briar Knoll Drive. 'I love the other house so much, we kept it,' she told the Times at the time.

Evidently, her tenant's lease has expired, because now, Leifer has listed the one-story house at 2960 Briar Knoll. Dubbed in listing information as a 'quiet oasis,' the house has a master bedroom suite with a sitting room facing the pool, a guest room, a den, a family room/media room, two fireplaces, hardwood floors and a large remodeled kitchen, according to listing information.

Leifer and Wolf have owned other houses in the immediate Hollywood Hills neighborhood over the last few years. In mid-2005 they paid $1,405,000 for a two-bedroom, 2,162-square-foot house at 8070 Briar Summit Drive in the Hollywood Hills, which is about 100 yards away from the house that Leifer has just listed. Leifer told the Los Angeles Times last year that the 8070 Briar Summit Drive house was 'a little jewel.' Leifer and Wolf sold the Briar Summit Drive house in February 2006 for $1,565,000, according to public records.

And, just across the street from Leifer's longtime house at 2960 Briar Knoll, Leifer paid $1,800,000 in fall 2005 to purchase the 2,191-square-foot house at 2955 Briar Knoll Drive, and forked over another $500,000 for a small adjacent vacant lot, according to public records. However, the couple turned around and sold the house at 2955 Briar Knoll in August 2006 for $1,800,000--the exact same price that they had purchased it for just 10 months earlier, according to public records.

The couple still owns the vacant lot at 2961 Briar Knoll Drive, according to public records.
