After renovating a Spanish-style house in Palm Springs’ Las Palmas area, Cher has listed it for $2,495,000.

Cher bought the 4,000-square-foot house, at 252 Camino del Sur, through her Camino Sur LLC corporation in January 2004 for $650,000, according to public records. Built in 1938, the four-bedroom house has four and a half baths, a pool, and a spa, according to listing information. Check out the listing sheet for more information. Cher told the Los Angeles Times that “I’ve been coming to Palm Springs since I was a kid,” and that she has “always loved the indoor-outdoor lifestyle you find there. We designed this home to capture that feeling, and I’m very happy with the way it came out.”

The Times reported that local architect Steve DeChristopher Jr. completed the redesign, by doubling the original 2,000-square-foot floor plan through the addition of a master-bedroom wing. The wing has his-and-hers wardrobe rooms, a fireplace and a wet bar, the paper reported.

Cher’s principal residence long has been a 13,126-square-foot house on 1.72 acres at 25142 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California, which she built after buying the land for it in 1992. After completing the house, Cher listed it in 2001 for the eye-popping listing price of $25 million (and never has gotten any takers). That seven-bedroom house is on 2.5 acres and also has a guest house, an infinity pool that appears to spill into the ocean, and a tennis court that is above parking for six cars. Also, in January 2006, Cher paid in the $4.5 million range for an in-town unit in the popular Sierra Towers building in West Hollywood, at 9255 Doheny Road. She bought her unit from actor and producer Vincent Gallo.
