Celebrity fashion stylist Rachel Zoe has sold her two-bedroom house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills for an undisclosed price after it had been on the market for $2,595,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the sale of Zoe’s house, which is at 1644 Rising Glen Road. Records show that the sale closed on June 20, and that the deal was recorded on July 15. As is so often the case lately, the sale price was not available in public records. But, it should clear public records in the next few weeks; when it does, we’ll of course provide it here.
The buyers are not celebrities. Built in 1956, the modern-style house was purchased by Zoe and her husband in January 2004 for $1,475,000. Features in the house, which measures 2,545 square feet according to public records or 2,742 square feet according to listing information and news accounts, include three baths, walnut floors, a convertible den/office, walls of glass, “exquisite surfaces throughout,” an open living room, a family room, a large master suite and a spacious walk-in closet, two fireplaces, a covered patio, a plunge pool, a spa and a fire pit, according to listing information and the Times. The house is just a block east of the famous (or infamous) “Bird Streets” area of the Hollywood Hills. Zoe initially had listed the house for $2,995,000 and later lowered it to $2,595,000. It’s not clear where Zoe and her husband ended up. At the time Zoe listed the house, the chatter in the Los Angeles Times was that Zoe and her investment banker husband would be building a new house in Los Angeles somewhere. We haven’t seen any evidence of that yet, but we’ll remain on the lookout. Check out an online listing sheet for the house that Zoe sold – including photos – here.
