The house in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills area that the late actor Brock Peters owned until his death in 2005 has been listed for $3,999,000.
Peters, who probably was best known for his role in the 1962 film "To Kill a Mockingbird" but who later appeared in the "Star Trek" TV series, died at age 78 in 2005. His heirs sold the house at 1420 Rising Glen Road to its current owner in November 2005 for $1,625,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report that the current owner has restored the house from the ground up and now has put it up for sale. Features in the house, which was built in 1955, include two romantic and spacious master suites and one guest suite--all of which have their own guest baths--along with a chef's kitchen with all Viking appliances, a media room/lounge with a 92-inch projection screen and wet bar, an automated fireplace, soaring ceilings, an indoor and outdoor stereo system and an infinity pool, according to listing information.
The house's size is up for debate. Public records show that the house is 2,680 square feet, but listing information suggests that it's actually 3,821 square feet. No matter what, the renovation must have resulted in some additional space.
