Public records have cleared on the sale price for the 10,223-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills, Calif. that actor Brad Garrett recently sold, and they reveal that Garrett got $7,500,000 for the five-bedroom, long-listed home.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the amount that Garrett reaped for the sale of the house, which is at 25170 Jim Bridger Road in Hidden Hills. We previously had broken the story last week of Garrett's sale of the house, which came on August 8 (deal being recorded on September 5) after the property had languished on the market and undergone multiple price cuts for 18 months.

In the end, the statistic that our readers probably would like to know is this: how much of a haircut did Garrett, who sold the home as part of a divorce action, end up taking on the sale price, relative to his original listing price? The answer: quite a bit. Garrett first listed the house in early 2007 for $9,495,000, as we wrote on April 30, 2007. Subsequent price cuts included slashing its asking price to $8,790,000 and then to $8,350,000 before the actor finally accepted $7,500,000 for the house.

Compare that sale price to the $6,384,000 that Garrett paid for the house in 2004, plus whatever investments that Garrett made in the house (which we would guess were not insignificant), and the likelihood of him having made much of a profit on the house is slim indeed.

Built in 2003, Garrett’s now-former house has five en-suite bedrooms, seven and a half baths, a fully equipped theater, a study, a bonus/game room, a chef’s kitchen with an adjoining breakfast room, a formal dining room, a refrigerated wine room, a slate roof, and a detached guest suite with a full bath and a private entrance, according to public records and listing information. Other features include volume ceilings, large picture windows, stone and plank hardwood floors, granite and marble counters, a wrought iron staircase, a steam shower, custom closets, a covered patio with a fireplace and a barbecue center, a pool and a spa, formal and children’s play yards, rolling lawns, a six-car garage and a putting green, according to listing information. The house is behind gates and sits on a 1.28-acre parcel, according to public records and listing information.

As we noted last week, Garrett now owns and lives in a 5,152-square-foot house on the Pacific Coast Highway (not far from Brad Pitt's seldom-if-ever-at-all-now-visited bachelor pad that he bought after splitting from Jennifer Aniston). Garrett quietly purchased that house, which sits on a 0.95-acre (41,382-square-foot) lot, in 2007 for $8,814,588, according to public records.
