French singing and acting icon Johnny Hallyday and his wife, Laetitia, have paid $3,900,000 for a newly built, Mediterranean-style house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills/Bel-Air area.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase by Hallyday, 64, who appears to us to be a first-time U.S. homebuyer.


Located on a flag lot at 2959 N. Beverly Glen Circle, Hallyday’s new five-bedroom home has approximately 6,000 square feet and five and a half baths, according to listing information. Features in the home include an 18-foot foyer with a bar area, a step-down formal living room with a fireplace, a formal dining room, a family room, a library, and a gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, custom cabinetry and two dishwashers, according to listing information. Other features include three en-suite bedrooms upstairs, and a master suite with a terrace, fireplace, sitting area, walk-in closet and dual baths with a steam shower, spa tub and bidet, according to listing information. Outside are mountain and partial city views, a pool, a spa, a built-in barbecue area, a fire pit, and a grassy area, all on a 0.24-acre property.



The house had been listed for $3,995,000, according to listing information.

Hallyday has many Hollywood connections, including in his own family. Actor Michael Vartan is the nephew of Hallyday’s first wife, Sylvie Vartan.
