Chris Webber, who has led the Detroit Pistons on their tear through the NBA's Eastern Conference playoffs, has paid about the $3,750,000 asking price for a three-bedroom house in Malibu, Calif., according to public records.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report that Webber, 34, purchased the house, which is located on a private promontory behind gates. Public records show that Webber purchased the house on March 30, and the purchase was recorded with the Los Angeles County Recorder's office on May 7. When we get Webber's price purchase price, we'll provide it here.

Built in 1995, Webber's 2,910-square-foot house sits on more than a half-acre of property, according to public records. Features in the recently remodeled house, which was designed by architect Stephen Kanner, include three baths, 180-degree ocean and canyon views, mid-century influences, a large master suite, mahogany framed walls of glass that retract for an indoor/outdoor ambiance, a pool and spa, and a brand-new septic system, according to listing information.

Webber owns plenty of other houses, including a house in Grosse Point Park, Mich. that he purchased in 2005 for $2,850,000, a house in Montgomery County, Pa. that he purchased in late 2005 for $2,600,000, a house on 13.77 acres in Ft. Washington, Md. that he purchased in 1998 for $650,000, and two houses in Granite Bay, Calif. that he purchased in 2003 for an undisclosed price.
