Actor Alan Alda has listed a single-family house in Sag Harbor, N.Y.--in which he has housed his nannies and maids for the last few years--for $799,000, according to the New York Post.

The Post's fine celebrity real estate columnist Braden Keil today breaks the story of Alda's listing of the three-bedroom Colonial, which is just a few miles from Alan and Arlene Alda's six-acre estate on Olivers Cove Lane in nearby Water Mill, N.Y. The house, which is at 4538 Noyac Road (which some public records inexplicably spell Noyack Road; although it's spelled Noyack Road in nearby Southampton, it's spelled Noyac Road in Sag Harbor) in Noyac/Sag Harbor. The house sits on a 0.57-acre tract, according to public records.

Alda's wife Arlene had purchased the home, which also has two and a half baths, in September 2004 for $680,000, according to public records.

Unfortunately, the listing is so new that we don't (yet) have a link to an online listing sheet, nor any photos.

The occupants of the house held a moving sale on Aug. 2.
