Actress Tori Spelling and her actor husband, Dean McDermott, have sold their 3,300-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Westwood area for $2,300,000.

We're far from the first to write about this (see the Westwood Real Estate blog from January for more), but we did want to weigh in on Spelling and McDermott's sale of their house at 1955 Thayer Avenue in Westwood, which closed in December. We had written about this listing twice back in October, when it had come on the market for $2,395,000.

The house has three and a half baths, French doors off the main rooms that lead to a manicured lawn, an outdoor dining area with a built-in barbecue, a solar-powered saltwater pool with a Baja shelf and spa, and a master suite with high ceilings, two oversized custom closets and city views, according to public records and listing information. Other features include a custom-designed fireplace in the living room, a formal dining room, a media room, a state-of-the-art sound system, hardwood floors, and a recently upgraded (by Tori and Dean) kitchen with imported marble countertops and top-of-the-line appliances, according to listing information. Thouse sits on a rather small, 0.15-acre (6,665-square-foot) lot, according to public records.

Records show that Tori and Dean's Thayer Trust had paid $2,275,000 on January 15, 2008 (deal recorded on February 12) to purchase the house from a partner with the consulting firm Bain & Co.

Tori and Dean sold the house because they paid $2,495,000 in October for a 6,718-square-foot house in a celebrity-heavy part of Encino. Neighbors include Carlos Mencia, who lives just a block away, actor Peter Bergman, actor Michael Bell, rocker Tom Petty, rocker Graham Nash, actress Jean Smart, and actress and uber-correspondent Maria Menounos.
