Actress Natalie Portman has sold her two-bedroom loft unit in Manhattan's West Village for $6,550,000.

Kudos to the New York Post's fine celebrity real estate columnist Braden Keil today for spotting the sale in public records, which show that Portman went to contract to sell the five-room unit, which is in the Richard Meier-designed, glass tower at 165 Charles Street, on September 11. Records also show that Portman closed on the sale on November 21, with the deed being recorded on Monday, December 1.

Back on July 31, we had written about Portman's listing of the 2,487-square-foot unit for $6,550,000, which means that the Harvard-educated actress got her final asking price for the unit. Portman had purchased the unit in August 2005 through her Sea Cliff Real Property Trust. The sale price was either $5,700,000, according to the contract deed itself, or $5,804,025, according to a property records database.

Portman currently owns no real estate. Keil reported today that while she is shopping for a new place, Portman is renting a place in the Downtown by Philippe Starck building at 15 Broad Street in Manhattan's Financial District.
