Actress Melissa Joan Hart has re-listed her five-bedroom, Spanish-style house in Los Angeles' Sherman Oaks area for $2,700,000 after previously having had it on the market last fall for $3,250,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Hart's re-listing and new asking price for the 4,911-square-foot house.
We wrote back on October 22 about Hart's listing of the house. Records show that she paid $2,800,000 to buy the house new in 2005, suggesting that she's now poised to take a real loss on it.
Features in the one-story, custom-built house include five baths, extensive crown moldings, recessed lighting, woodwork throughout, a foyer, a professional screening room, a maid's room (which is counted as one of the five bedrooms), and a master suite with built-in shelving units, a fireplace, a walk-in closet and a master bath that has a dual-sink vanity and a separate tub and shower, according to listing information. Other features include a formal dining room with skylights, a family room with a stone fireplace, custom lighting and massive windows, and a gourmet kitchen with a massive central granite island, extensive cabinetry, stainless steel appliances and a built-in office, according to listing information. Outdoor features on the 0.49-acre (21,497-square-foot) lot include a deck, a lush grass yard, a pool, a hot tub, a fire pit, and a three-car garage, according to public records and listing information.
As was the case in October, it's still unclear to us where Hart is planning to move. She has owned several other properties in the San Fernando Valley over the years, but records indicate that the only Valley property she owns at present is the one she has on the market.
