Actor Wilmer Valderrama is the latest celebrity buyer in the Broadway Hollywood building in Los Angeles' Hollywood area, paying an undisclosed amount -- but probably less than $900,000 -- for a unit in the building.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase by Valderrama, which closed on July 31 and which was recorded on September 19. Although Valderrama's purchase price is not yet available, he took out a $696,500 mortgage on the unit, suggesting to us that the total purchase price probably was less than $900,000.
As we have noted often, the Broadway Hollywood building, which is at 1645 N. Vine St. / 6310 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, is a 10-story, former department store that is right on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, with units ranging in size from 931 square feet to more than 2,000 square feet. Check out the building's website.
Records show that Valderrama purchased a sixth-floor unit (#611), meaning the unit is just down the hall (or across the hall) from the units owned separately by Masterson (#612) and Heming (#610). That's quite a celebrity-filled floor!
Over the years, Valderrama has proven himself to be quite the property magnate, having owned no fewer than seven different properties in Los Angeles' San Fernando Valley. The Broadway Hollywood building only adds to his empire.
Most recently, we wrote on July 1 about Valderrama listing his 4,822-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Tarzana area for $2,250,000. That house, at 5441 Calvin Avenue, remains on the market, and since has been reduced to $1,950,000. Check out an online listing sheet for that house here.
