Actor (and comedian, and erstwhile talk-show host) Tony Danza has sold his five-bedroom, 6,778-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Sherman Oaks area for an undisclosed price after it had been on the market for $6,150,000.  In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the sale of the house at 3637 Longridge Avenue in Sherman Oaks by Danza. Records show that the house closed on March 6, with the deal being recorded with Los Angeles County on April 22.

We wrote about the onetime pugilist's listing of the Sherman Oaks house back on December 11. Danza rebuilt the two-story house in from the ground up after the previous house on the 1.83-acre property, which Danza purchased in 1986 from actor Robert Urich, was destroyed in 1994 by the Northridge earthquake. Features in the house and on the property include five baths, a wine cellar, a guest house, a gunite pool, a spa, a tennis court, a batting cage, and canyon and mountain views, according to listing information. When Danza's sale price clears public records in a few weeks, we'll of course provide it here. It's unclear where in L.A. (if anywhere) that Danza, who has separated from wife Tracy, has moved. Property records show that Danza also owns a 1,046-square-foot, 27th-floor unit in Manhattan's Millennium Tower (at 101 W. 67th Street / 1992 Broadway), a unit that he quietly purchased in July 2005 for $1,700,000. At the time that Danza purchased the unit, he was broadcasting his short-lived (2004-2006) live talk show 'The Tony Danza Show' every weekday morning from Manhattan. More recently, the actor has appeared in 'The Producers' in Las Vegas.
