Actor, singer, songwriter and guitarist Drake Bell has paid $2,050,000 for a four-bedroom, Spanish-style house in Los Angeles’ Los Feliz area, according to public records.

In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on the purchase, which closed on May 3 but wasn’t recorded until May 31. A native of Orange County, Calif., Bell, 21, has been acting since the age of five, and started playing the guitar when he was 12. He’s best known for appearing on the Nickelodeon show “Drake & Josh,” but he also has a budding career as a musician, having already released two albums.

Now, Bell, who has been attributed to having lived in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Toluca Lake, has become a first-time homebuyer with his purchase of the 2,640-square-foot house at 3356 Ley Drive in the Los Feliz neighborhood. Features in the house, which was built in 1929 and which had been listed for $2,149,000, include three and a half baths, a turreted, tiled arched entryway and a large, sunken living room with a fireplace, dark-stained wood floors and ornate, beamed ceilings, according to listing information. Other features in the house include a balcony overlooking the pool area with mountain views, a master bedroom and bath on the main floor, two extra lower-level bedrooms, a Jack-and-Jill bathroom and laundry room, and a cook’s kitchen with Viking appliances, custom cabinetry, and Saltillo tile, according to listing information. The top-floor guest unit has its own Viking stove kitchen, vaulted beam ceiling and a separate street-level entrance, according to listing information.

The total square footage looks low, but a previous MLS listing states that the guest house was done with permits but is not reflected in the public records for square footage. Including the guest house, the house’s total square footage apparently is about 3,400.
