Actor Morris Chestnut has placed his seven-bedroom, 5,522-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills, Calif. on the market for $4,495,000.
In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Chestnut's listing of his mansion, which hit the market on Sunday, June 21. We actually have written about his house before, back on March 3, 2008, when we broke the story of Chestnut's purchase of this house. Indeed, records show that Chestnut purchased the house in May 2007 for $3,300,000.

Built in 1974, Chestnut’s 5,522-square-foot, one-story house in Hidden Hills has seven bedrooms, seven and a half baths, stone floors, a lower-level teenagers suite, and two master suites -- one of which is a newer master suite with a fireplace, high-beam ceilings and a dry sauna, according to public records and listing information. Outdoor features on the 2.39-acre property include a full-size tennis court, a pool, a spa, a BBQ center, five horse stables and a corral, a circular drive, and a gated courtyard, according to public records and listing information. The house is on the same street as a 5,781-square-foot house that actor Beau Bridges purchased in 1988 for $1,200,000, according to public records.
We'll keep you all posted on if Chestnut is able to sell this house -- and if so, for how much. Stay tuned.
As we noted last year, Chestnut has owned other Los Angeles-area houses over the years. These include:
--His first purchase, as best we can tell, was to pay $274,000 in 1994 for a newly built, 2,222-square-foot house at 5435 Wrench Court in Lakewood, Calif. (just east of Long Beach), which he then sold in 2001 for $355,000, according to public records;
--In 2001, Chestnut paid $707,000 for a newly built, 3,779-square-foot house at 11831 Zelzah Avenue in Los Angeles’ Granada Hills area, which he sold the following year for $720,000, according to public records;
--In 2002, Chestnut purchased a 4,633-square-foot house in Calabasas, Calif. for $1,449,000. He sold that house in 2007 to a music production manager for $2,100,000, according to public records.
