Actor Kiefer Sutherland has just placed his 14,400-square-foot warehouse building, which is a combined 6,000-square-foot loft plus a recording studio, in Los Angeles' Silver Lake area on the market for $4,895,000. In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Sutherland's listing of his loft, which is at 1019 N. Madison Avenue in Silver Lake. We profiled Sutherland's home in our December 31, 2007 edition of our popular "Where in the world is?" feature. Records show that Sutherland (shown here with Jennifer Garner) has owned the converted ironworks/foundry warehouse building through his Dave T. Douglas (sometimes spelled Doglas) Trust, since purchasing the building in 2002 for $700,000. The warehouse, which was built in 1928, just came on the market on Tuesday, July 22. Since buying the building, Sutherland has converted its downstairs into a recording studio known as Ironworks Music, with his living quarters being upstairs. His three-bedroom living quarters has four baths, 25-foot ceilings, polished concrete floors warmed by radiant heat, rooms all opening onto one another, and a cook's kitchen, according to listing information. Check out an online listing sheet for Sutherland's warehouse -- complete with photos. As we noted back on December 31, Sutherland previously owned massive acreage in Santa Maria, Calif. and also owns a house in Los Angeles' Sherman Oaks area and another house in L.A.'s Toluca Lake area. It's not clear yet where Kiefer's moving, but when we find out, we'll of course report it here. One final note related to exclusives/scoops: we're writing this post on Saturday morning, and for whatever reason, the Los Angeles Times' "Hot Property" column for tomorrow is not online yet. So, if this item is indeed in tomorrow's "Hot Property" column, we're not aware of it as of the moment that we're uploading this post.
