Actor Jason Biggs has sold his 1,930-square-foot house in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills for $1,442,500. In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Biggs’ sale of his three-bedroom house at 2362 Hollyridge Drive in the Hollywoodland area of the Hills. Public records show that the sale closed on March 26 and appears to have been recorded on May 20. The buyer is shown in public records to be named Joshua Olson. Given that the mailing address for Olson on the deed is the office of a well-known money manager for people in the entertainment industry (Grant, Tani, Barash & Altman), we’re fairly certain that the Joshua Olson in question is screenwriter and director Josh Olson, who was nominated for an Academy Award for his screenplay for the 2005 film “A History of Violence.” Built in 1924, the house on Hollyridge Drive that Biggs sold has two baths, an office (which can act as a fourth bedroom), a large vaulted living room, a formal dining room, an updated vintage-style kitchen with appliances and a large family room with a media room, and had been listed for $1,549,000 and later for $1,529,000, according to public records and listing information. The house sits on a gated 0.26-acre lot with terraces, a rock walk and views of downtown and the canyon, according to public records and listing information. Our friends over at the Real Estalker wrote a nice post on Biggs’ listing back in December, back when it was on the market for $1,549,000. Biggs paid $1,150,000 in May 2003 for the Hollyridge Drive house through his Dreaming Tree Trust, according to public records. Biggs recently sold the house on Hollyridge Drive because he has a new house elsewhere in Hollywood. Records show that Biggs’ Dreaming Tree Trust paid $2,249,000 on February 28, 2007 (with the deal being recorded on March 29, 2007) to purchase the 2,756-square-foot house at 8515 Hollywood Boulevard from actor Fred Savage’s Frumious Bandersnatch Trust, according to public records. Our friends over at the Real Estalker had written an outstanding post about that transaction back in June 2007, which you can see here.
