Continuing with our pattern of catching up on items that we hadn't written about up until now, we wanted to provide our take on actor Eddie Cibrian's 8,560-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Encino area, which just went into escrow after having been most recently on the market for $4,395,000.

Mad props to our friends over at the Real Estalker for their post last week on Cibrian's listing of his six-bedroom house at 4743 White Oak Avenue in Encino, which he purchased in 2002 for $2,020,000, according to public records. Built in 1992 (according to public records, or built in 1970, according to listing information), Cibrian's 'Rancho Estate' is walled and gated and has a circular driveway and a porte cochere. Features include eight baths, a two-story entry with a cupola, a skylight, a custom wrought iron staircase, a wrought iron chandelier, six en-suite bedrooms, and a family room with coffered ceilings, a wet bar and surround sound, according to listing information. The house also has a library with a fireplace and bookcases, a banquet-sized formal dining room, a professional theater with bi-level seating for 15 or more (and 7.1 Dolby surround sound, THX high definition, a large screen and a top-of-the-line projector), and a chef's kitchen with a center island, granite counters, and stainless steel appliances including a Viking six-burner range and double ovens, two dishwashers and a separate SubZero refrigerator and freezer, according to listing information.

As if all that weren't enough, the mansion also has an integrated phone system, a security system with monitors, a second staircase, a large attic storage room, a rooftop sundeck, extensive use of limestone, travertine, distressed hardwood floors, high ceilings, crown molding, arches, French doors, four fireplaces (two of which are stone), custom light fixtures and a master suite with a fireplace, balcony, complete sound system, bathroom with dual showers, dual walk-in closets, a spa tub and a bidet, according to listing information. Outside on the 0.48-acre property are a Bouquet Canyon edged pool with a bridge, patios, a barbecue pavilion, verdant lawns and a four-plus car garage, according to listing information.

Cibrian's mansion has had ever-changing listing prices, including for $4,800,000, $4,600,000 and its most recent, $4,395,000 asking price.

For what it's worth, Cibrian's house is in a reasonably celebrity-friendly (and expensive!) section of Encino. The house is just a few blocks north of actor Matt LeBlanc's onetime 2.12-acre spread at 17651-17653 Belinda Street (which LeBlanc's ex still owns), and it's just a few blocks west of the 8,387-square-foot house on 2.26 acres at 4875 Louise Avenue, which actress Katey Sagal bought from actress Kirstie Alley in 1997 and sold a few years ago. Other celebs in Encino, like Dave Grohl, the Jackson family, and Anita Barone, live farther away.

As always we'll let you know when Cibrian's mansion sells -- and also for how much -- as well as where he's headed.
