We know that this has been well reported elsewhere, but we wanted to provide our take on onetime “Baywatch” actor David Chokachi becoming a first-time homebuyer and paying $1,080,000 for a 1,651-square-foot Spanish-style house in Los Angeles’ Beverly Center/Miracle Mile area.

The Los Angeles Times’ Ruth Ryon first reported (http://www.latimes.com/classified/realestate/hotprop/la-re-hotprop17jun17,0,1707813.story?page=2&coll=la-class-realestate-hotprop) on Sunday about Chokachi’s purchase, and yesterday, the Real Estalker provided her standard excellent commentary on the property as well. So to be candid, we don’t have a ton to add.

We confess, however, that we were a little surprised that Ryon was willing to write about a purchase that took place so long ago. We here at Big Time Listings have no problem writing about sales that took place four, five, six months ago (or even longer), but it’s less common in Ryon’s “Hot Property” column (or when it does happen, she tends to use the phrase “settled into” to describe a celeb’s purchase of a house that happened more than six months earlier). For the record, Chokachi purchased the house on December 14, 2006, and the sale was recorded on January 22, 2007.

Features in the three-bedroom house include two baths, a formal entry, a living room with a stack stone fireplace, a kitchen with stainless steel appliances, use of stone and rock throughout the house, a master suite with a separate lounge/office/reading room, and French doors leading to a grassy backyard with a deck and fountain, according to listing information.
