Actor and voice-over master Dan Castellaneta has sold his five-bedroom, contemporary-style house in Santa Monica, Calif. for an undisclosed price after it had been on the market for $3,295,000.




In a Big Time Listings exclusive, we can report on Castellaneta's sale of his longtime house at 712 San Lorenzo Street in Santa Monica, which he had owned since purchasing it in 1993 for exactly $1 million.

Records show that a couple associated with a Malibu, Calif. toy company purchased the house from Castellaneta on October 22 for an amount that has not yet cleared public records. The deal was recorded on November 2, according to public records.

Back on September 13, we had written about Castellaneta's house being on the market for $3,295,000.

Built in 1949, the house in Santa Monica is located in Santa Monica Canyon, near the beach, and has a flexible floor plan, a media room, a formal dining room, a breakfast area, and a master suite with an adjoining library/office, according to listing information. Other features include an art studio, a lanai, and a walk-in wine cellar, according to listing information. The house sits on a 0.16-acre lot, and has a private yard with a flat area for a pool, according to public records and listing information. The house appears to have been placed on the market on September 4.

Prior to buying this house in 1993, Castellaneta and his wife had sold a 1,723-square-foot house that they had owned at 328 Poquito Lane in Topanga, Calif. for $380,000, according to public records.
