Actor Dan Aykroyd has paid $14,500,000 to purchase a 5,244-square-foot house in Los Angeles' Pacific Palisades area.  The Los Angeles Times' Ann Brenoff on Sunday will break the story of Aykroyd's purchase in December (and not in February, as Brenoff had reported) of the house, which is on a 0.77-acre parcel at 851 Paseo Miramar in Pacific Palisades. Records show that Aykroyd's D & D 33 Trust purchased the house on December 6, with the deal being recorded on January 15. Built in 1929, Aykroyd's new house on Paseo Miramar has four bedrooms, three baths and a pool, according to public records. It wasn't listed in the multiple listing service. As a result, we have no photos of it just yet, although we probably could snatch one from a satellite-image website. Brenoff also will report on Sunday -- although we can't yet confirm this in public records -- that Aykroyd has sold a 4,176-square-foot house in the Hollywood Hills that he and his brother have long co-owned. We wrote on February 18 about Aykroyd having listed that house, at 8071 Selma Avenue, for $2,595,000, after our friends over at the Real Estalker broke the story of that listing. Brenoff reported that Aykroyd has sold that house for $2.13 million. We have no reason to doubt that, although the public records databases that we have access to have not yet been updated to reflect that. Aykroyd and his brother, Peter, purchased the Selma Avenue house in 1988 for $732,000, according to public records. The house literally is its own block -- the 0.40-acre parcel is surrounded on all sides by public streets. Check out an online listing sheet for the Selma Avenue house -- complete with a photo. We'll keep you posted on that properety. Aykroyd's other recent real-estate moves have included the actor placing his triplex apartment on the top three floors of Manhattan's 46-story Leighton House Tower on the market for $7,000,000, which we wrote about on December 3. And, on February 14, we were the first to report that Aykroyd had sold his long-listed, 4,828-square-foot, New England-style house at 7708 Woodrow Wilson Drive in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills to "National Lampoon's Vacation" actress Beverly D'Angelo for $3,800,000.
