Actor Christopher Knight, who played Peter Brady in the 'Brady Bunch,' and his model wife Adrianne Curry have sold their town home in Manhattan Beach, Calif., reportedly for its $1,689,000 asking price, and have paid $2,500,000 for a home in nearby Hermosa Beach, Calif.
The Los Angeles Times' Ruth Ryon wrote today about Knight's sale of his Manhattan Beach town home, but her piece contains several errors that we will try to correct.
First, the Manhattan Beach town home, which Knight and Curry sold on June 26 (the transaction didn't close until August 3), is one that Knight had purchased in 2003 (and not in 2004, as Ryon had erroneously reported) for $1,250,000, according to public records. Built in 1997, the trilevel, 2,136-square-foot town home that they sold is at 512 Highland Avenue in Manhattan Beach. The town home has two bedrooms, 2.5 baths a three-stop elevator, two ocean view balconies, hardwood floors, granite counters, and recessed lighting, according to listing information. Public records don't yet show the precise sale price, so we can't independently confirm Ryon's report that the couple sold the town home for its $1,689,000. As always, we will share with you the actual sale price when it becomes available, which should be in sometime next month.
As for Knight and Curry's new home, contrary to Ryon's report, the purchase price is *not* 'undisclosed.' Rather, public records clearly show that Knight and Curry paid $2,500,000 to buy their new home, which is in nearby Hermosa Beach. Ryon is correct in reporting that the couple's new home is indeed "larger"; listing information shows that their new home, which was built in 2007, measures 2,980 square feet and has four bedrooms and five baths.
Finally, the affable Knight is 49 years old, and hence, not in his "mid-40s," as Ryon had erroneously reported.
