Which celebrity's property is this? House #61: the property at 8804 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles' Hollywood Hills, which recently sold to a trust for $5.35M

Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” involves the property at 8804 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles’ Hollywood Hills area, which sold recently to a trust for $5,350,000.

The reason we believe that this property was purchased by a celebrity is because records show that something called the Lynwood Trust was shown as the purchaser of the house. And the trustee whose name appears on the deed as the money manager representing the Lynwood Trust? None other than that of Harley J. Neuman. Veteran celebrity real estate-watchers will know that Neuman has been the trustee for celebrities in their L.A.-area home purchases over the years including most notably, Ellen DeGeneres.

We have absolutely no other information about this property; there is no public listing information for it that we have been able to find. All we can tell you is that it’s a 0.30-acre (13,046-square-foot) lot, according to public records. Does it have a house on it? Well, it might, and it might not. We haven’t yet been able to get out to the property ourselves, but a trusted colleague of ours who drove past it said it wasn’t obvious to her that there was a house on the property. Obviously, the sale price as recorded would lead one to believe that a house *does* stand on that site. Public records, however, don’t (yet) indicate that, nor does our first-person account from our helpful colleague. So, we’re putting this out to you, our dear readers, many of whom live not far from this parcel and can traipse around the neighborhood with impunity. What have you seen in driving past it?

An 1,852-square-foot house that was built in 1947 formerly had sat on the property, according to public records. The entity that sold the house to the Lynwood Trust is something called Hollywood Hills Ventures, LLC. This LLC purchased the property in 2005 for $1,647,000, according to public records.
