Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” is better characterized as “Which celebrity’s house *was* this?” since the house, which is at 1530 N. Easterly Drive in Los Angeles’ Silver Lake area and which was owned by a trust that we think is a celebrity’s, just sold in October for $1,495,000.

Built in 1937, designed by architect William Kessling and known locally as the Skinner house, the 2,053-square-foot house in Silver Lake until recently was owned by something called the I Before E Trust, which had purchased the three-bedroom house for $1,135,000 in 2005, according to public records. Records show that on October 9, the house sold to a man from Atlanta for $1,495,000. The deal was recorded on November 6.

Features in the Streamline Moderne-style house in Silver Lake include highly decorative built-ins, extensive casement windows, multiple balconies, a curved magnesite stairway with chrome rail, a den with a fireplace, and a patio with a fountain, according to listing information.

We also should note that the I Before E Trust owns other property in L.A. Early this year, it paid $695,000 for a sixth-floor condominium unit in the Little Tokyo Lofts building in downtown Los Angeles, which is in the historic Westinghouse building.
