Today’s installment of “Which celebrity’s house is this?” involves the gated, 2,365-square-foot ranch-style house at 6768 Fernhill Drive on Point Dume in Malibu, Calif., which recently closed for $3,350,000.

The reason that we believe that the buyer of this modest house is a celebrity is because the buyer is something called the Fernhill Trust (the seller is not a celebrity). And William Harper, who is the money manager whose name appears on the deed representing the buyer, has represented many, many celebrities over the years in their property purchases, including musicians Toni Braxton, Sheena Easton, Trent Reznor, Kris Kristofferson, and Jakob Dylan, and actor Joel Grey. As such, it’s highly likely in our minds that this is not only a celebrity buyer but also a music industry buyer.

Built in 1957, the three-bedroom house at 6768 Fernhill Drive has an updated kitchen with granite counters, a wood-burning fireplace, hardwood floors, a room that can be used as an office or a fourth bedroom, and 2.5 updated baths, according to public records and listing information. Outside on the 1.3-acre (56,628-square-foot) lot, which has access to two different streets, are beach rights (the property is about a block from the Pacific Ocean), an outdoor spa, and fruit trees, according to public records and listing information. The house is just down the street from actor Matthew McConaughey’s property.

The transaction closed on August 18, with the deal being recorded on September 26, according to public records.
